About Madge Lockwood
Madge Lockwood is a twice certified lymphedema therapist (2006 and 2019) and specializes in lymphatic drainage massage. She graduated from the Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 1998 where she was a member of the faculty and a professional therapist from 2002-2005. She is licensed in Illinois and Wisconsin and has 26 years of hands on experience. For the past 17 years Madge has used her German language knowledge to learn modalities in Germany (the world leader in lymphatic research and treatment) and bring them back to the States. She has over 2,500 hours of professional training in massage therapy and bodywork and is committed to continuing her education. Madge is the recipient of the 2016 Pioneer Award from the Illinois Chapter of the AMTA.

Experience
Madge teaches MLD (Vodder) certification courses at Zen Shiatsu in Evanston, IL. (2019-present)
Madge has translated the curriculum for the Marnitz Therapy course, and has assisted instructor Johanna Blumenschein in Dresden, Germany (2019) and Chicago, IL (2022).
Madge taught manual lymph drainage for the Soma Institute’s Master Clinical Massage Therapy Diploma Program 2009-2011.
Madge worked at Mercy Hospital’s Whole Women, Whole Health program from 2007-2009, providing manual lymph drainage, compression bandaging and oncology massage to women who are recovering from cancer treatment.
